As an eighteen year member of the National Press Photographers Association,
Photographer Jason Steussy has earned multiple awards, both locally and
regionally, and was a member of two consecutive NPPA Station of the Year
winners while at WHO-TV in Des Moines, and two more while at KARE in Minneapolis. As a freelancer for KARE in Minneapolis, he won a Regional Emmy in 2014. Working alone or as part of a
team, Jason will tell your story with steady, sequenced video and
meaningful natural sound. Well-versed in P2 HD, XDCam, EXCam, DVC-Pro and Betacam formats,
live truck operation, helicopter gyro-stablized cameras, Avid Media Composer, Edius,
Avid Newscutter, Panasonic Newsbyte, Adobe Creative Cloud and linear editing techniques, no
story is too big or too small! Equipment includes a Panasonic HPX-300 HD P2 camera, Sachtler Fluid Head and Hot Pod, Lowel Pro Lights, five
Lectrosonics UHF wireless sets, Steadybag, Canon 5D Mark IV and Mark III, GoPro HD Hero 1, 2, 3 & 4, and more. We
have done work for KXJB in Fargo, ND, WHO in Des Moines, IA, WKBT in La
Crosse, WI, KARE in Minneapolis, MN, as well as NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN and PBS.
